Your going to have to sand the bumpers and repaint them or the rust will continue to spread and get worse! For the time being you could just spray WD-40 on the rusty areas to shield it from the weather/elements!Not going to cure it obviously but somewhat slows the process of the rust getting worse faster!Good luck!

Thanks! Any ideas of what to use to repaint them? I have seen multiple products people have used such as Rust-Oleum, Herculiner etc. and I don't really see what the difference in would be besides the huge gap of pricing between them.

Thanks Natas, I'm in love but at the same time I feel like there's just too much to be done and not enough time; or money. :annoyed:

Sand, primer and paint!Don't think either your going to notice any difference in quality from a manufactured rattle can product! You might even want to clear coat the bumpers after painting as well to prevent them from fading and such!

Thanks a lot! Maybe you could give me one more suggestion. The wheels have some pretty bad corrosion. I am going to basically do the same thing as with the bumpers. One concern I am having is that the previous owner either hit a curb or a rock pretty bad and the wheel was basically "scraped" and is now overlapping/penetrating the tire. I don't know whether to sand it down or leave it because I don't want to damage it any further. I am looking to get new wheels and tires in the future but I don't want to be left on in the middle of nowhere.
