    I had one dealer tell me that if I ordered a Tacoma the price would be 2% higher because Toyota is instituting a price increase. Sounded like BS at the time (5 weeks ago) but what you are experiencing seems to align with what that dealer was saying. This was in Northern Virginia.

    Makes sense for Toyota. They can't keep Tacomas on the lot. If people are willing to pay msrp all day why wouldn't they raise their prices.

    Which dealer did you go to if you don't mind me asking? I'm in VA as well and it'll be nice to have alternatives to the ones i have here in Virginia Beach.

    I just got off the phone with a local dealership (San Diego). I am after the OR 4x4 with tech and they said there is so much demand that they cant discount them at all or even order me the one I want.

    Demand is so high they know they'll sell the truck. They don't have to accept your offer. It's selling itself right now.

    I made dozens of phone calls and finally found mine in Las Vegas, and drove all the way there to get it...

    Tried around 150 mile radius for 4x4 DCSB V6 TRD sport 7542 with Prem & Tech package with JBL audio, least being $35,550 (1 dealership) and rest 7 from 37K to 39K. So I guess got to wait a little more :(

    And I thought Bay area is for Teslas
