I just bought a high mileage tundra with v6 engine which is I believe the same with tacoma 4.0 engine thats why im posting this here. There is an air leak coming from this hole and making the engine misfiring. If i use my finger to cover that hole the engine seems to idle a lot better. There is a massive air coming out from that hole and you can actually hear it. Thank you in advance!

It's going to be a stealership item. Go to the stealership parts counter tell them what you got or show them. Then prepare yourself for the price.

also not the same motor as in the tacoma. yours has i assume the 4.7 litre v8 or the 5.7 litre v8. tacoma is a v6 4.0 or a 4cylinder 2.4

Glad you found the part Tom.

Not sure how acquainted you are with Tacomaworld but there is alot of other info on here for maintenance, DIY's and things of that sort for the 1GR-FE motor which you have. Might be useful to look through some of those write ups for future reference, if you haven't done so already.

We also have a Tundra forum aswell.

Pretty sure that's a lean engine condition code, which a vacuum leak would certainly cause. Disconnect the battery for thirty seconds then reconnect. Should go away after the replacement of the part you order
