So the dealer says the highest they can go with the caster is 1.8 leftside and 1.4 rightside, and state its because it wont adjust any further? Is there truth to this?

Did you lift the front suspension? If so, then yes that is a common problem. You can leave it the way it is (Won't wear tires, but may have a wandering problem at higher speeds). Or you can get aftermarket UCAs (Upper Control Arms) to correct the issue.

Unless you have those coilovers cranked to the max there should not be an issue getting enough caster with TCS UCAs installed.

I'm pretty sure they are screwing something up...cause I think caster higher than that is factory normal at stock ride height- and with TC UCAs there are screwing the pooch.

I am wondering what is the caster specifications, min. and max. they were trying to hit?

I am looking at my dealer print out and it shows: 1.34* min. and 2.84* max.

I had a 3" Coilover lift w/o UCAs and they got them in spec.

I am just trying to understand this stuff.

If you have the TC UCAs, then try a different alignment tech with more experience.

yeah TC UCA's, it was a pointless battle with them, they read the reason off the paper first and then said that to put it at 2.4 would be out of their specs??? WTF!?!

When they saw your lift and tires, they probably became lazy and did not bother to adjust them some more. Just go to another alignment shop and ask for a 2.4 to 2.8 caster.

god i hate the dealership! so there is no damage that could be done by taking them to 2.4? i hate to have to pay for another alignment.
