annnnd one more angle because why not.

up nahaum canyon, about ten minutes from my place. You can go way up there to some more impressive camping spots, but this little perch is sort of a "base camp" that looks over the canyon.

For sure! I know a bunch of people that are always down to go. Depending on work I may not be able to make it for all of it but definitely as much as I can.

Looking at bing maps right now, when you go back Nahaum canyon road to where it splits into many directions (one being Swakane Canyon road) where did you go to get to that spot? Or are there a lot of "outlooks" like that one?

That's right around where the photo was taken, you'll see it. The good camping spots are up higher though! but this one is close to town which is nice

yeah I've posted it on a thread or two, it really gets the people going! There can be some serious wind though, which is always fun. When its nice out, and my buddy BroTaco is in town over the summer we go camping most weekends along with a few other losers who don't have Tacomas :notsure: Get out here one weekend over the summer! I'd love to see where you guys go over there, too. I also want to spend some time on the Olympic Peninsula.

Same with us! We do camping trips almost every weekend in the summer, usually around Cle Elum area but we want to do stuff in the North cascades now.

So I'm guessing you take I-90 over Snoqualmie? I like Cle Elum, pretty similar but it's a little greener here+ awesome food options in leavenworth when you decide to come down from the mountains. Its great when we wake up in the morning to an amazing view, then drive down the FS road in time to eat breakfast in town.

Not super visible in the photo, but made myself a little grill because my old one was having some problems. Might look into getting a nicer satoshi one later on but this is fine for now.

Got the shims in today, along with a front allignment. The vibrations are almost gone, just a little something around 20mph. I'll be adding
More weight to the back, though.

So my grill came horrible before. Got tired of it and went out to find something stronger. Found a sheet of mesh/metal that was fairly thick so it's much more rigid now. Going to get either an Fj Toyota emblem, or "TACOMA" or "TOYOTA" in big white lettering. Also painted stuff

I want to put orange running lights in the vent looking things next to the headlights.

Guys I need ideas. I need to modify my
Rear swingout so it doesn't have as much back and forth play. Currently, I have part of it pressed against the rear tailgate, but when things get violent offroad I'm afraid it'll move around a lot. When I hold onto the tire, it can wobble back-and-forth fairly easily. The entire swing out doesn't wobble, the top just kind of bends back and forth a little.
    image.jpg
    image.jpg
The latch currently isn't welded, the bumper is being held in by a ratchet strap… Haven't welded yet because I feel there is a better way to do this. Any ideas?

So the swing out when latched as too much play in it? Just want to make sure

The swing out itself doesn't necessarily have play. There is just a little flex in the metal it seems. When the gate is latched closed, the swing out is held pretty firmly against the tailgate as you can see. however, not firmly enough to prevent some movement/wobbling in the tower that the tire is attached to. Hope that made sense
