    All you 2nd gen guys that have installed an iPod, what did you use to get the faceplate off at the A/C controls? Just a flathead screwdriver? Just got a SPEC USA adapter and don't want to end up breaking/scratchin the faceplate.

    4.10 gears, sliders, and lots of buttons.
    A driver licens, library card, or the like works well. Or, you can pop the little triangle things off (Under the vents), and reach into the hole, and push teh AC face plate out.

    I thought about that but didn't know if I'd have enough room to get anything in there with my 4wd knob...or does that pop out with the little triangle?

    I went the route of popping off the side vent pieces and sticking a finger in from each side to push the pins out. Then I just gave it a little wiggle from the front.

    I got it installed. I used my old student ID card from college, but it wasn't strong enough. So I got a really small flat head screwdriver, tore an old shirt, wrapped the shirt around the tip, and popped it out with that. No scratches, no breakage. thanks for the tips guys.
