I don't offroad as much as I'd like to but whenever I do, its all out. From crawling to bombing down fast sections...I also smash the gas at every speed bump I see at the mall.

$110 8.4109G Body Mount Set-Reg, Access & Dbl Cab

8.4109G kit are good enough, I did it myself this weekend alone in about 3 hours. Some lessons learned are to unearth the top of the body mount bolts first and don't put the cab back together until the very end. I did the drivers side first and put the rear seat storage back and then had to take it back out to do the passenger side. With a second body and doing it a second time I could probably do it in just over an hour. You could probably do it without taking apart the back seat as the bolt has tabs on it to lock it in place but I didn't want to lift that cab that far to clear the bolt.

We still stop drill cracks on Navy airplanes

Hoarder,big or small bushing on top?

 

I put them together as the instructions said but the radiator mounts that come with the 8.4109 kit are about the same size. I've got the 9.4101 kit coming this week and I'll be putting the larger piece on top.

 

I personally didn't like the 8.4109 rad bushings included in the kit compared to the 9.4101 bushings. The 8.xxxx ones are just too soft feeling and don't seem like they would hold up as strong as the 9.xxxx ones do.

Yep. But all stitched up and stress has been relieved so I am doubting I will see it again.

 

Depends on the metal, location and aircraft. A titanium firewall will be left alone after its drilled. Helicopter skin panels will be patched next time it's convenient. Cracks in jets usually require digging. We wouldn't stop drill a crack in a structural piece without an engineer buying off on it, but then most structural pieces are solid titanium.

Are you guys getting vibrations at highway speeds after bushing install?

I'm getting excessive vibrations through the steering wheel post installation of these bushings. Like driving on a brick road. No extra noises, just vibrations, but only at highway speeds. I'm going to give it a few miles and see if it goes away before maybe loosening and retightening them.

 

Loosen and retighten your steering linkage joint? Check wheel balance.

 

Or check carrier bearing
