Said he had to re-stud them 3 times. Looks like I'll be inspecting it when I get home

Looks like they did it right, I was ready to be a bit of a dick because it took so long but they were nice and explained what was wrong and fixed it free of charge. I have been hearing some screeching sound coming from my driver side front tire and just found the source of that. I've just been too lazy to check it out. Sounds like I'll be back at Firestone getting a proper balance.

It was a used tire shop so I didn't expect much. This is the first time I've actually looked at it. In the second picture, you can see where the rotors been hitting the weights. I hate sticky weights too but it's all they had. I'd much prefer the ones you have to hit on that clinch the rim because I know they're a more permanent solution.

In other news, Firestone did replace my studs and lug nuts so that's good. I also finished painting my skids. Now to find time to drill my frame.

ive had to replace about 12 studs overall on mine. lug nuts seize on them with the guns. By hand only you neanderthals!

yeah i see them attempt to put the nuts on like a nascar pit crew. Drives me insane. Personally i do them only by hand. The shops can do what they want as its their liability/repair :)

With the hub or axle out of the vehicle supported so you don't put unwanted impact on the bearings you can usually knock them out with a big hammer. Slide the new ones in and use a nut and your impact to pull the new one in till they're seated.
