Oh, and here's some research I've done in my King/Fox/ICON comps (I've only researched extended travel that need UCA's cause I plan on romping):

Fox: 880-06-418 Extended Travel with DSC Adjustments

    http://www.headstrongoffroad.com/store/p50/Fox_Factory_Series_2.5"_Coilover_Kit_with_Reservoir_and_Compression_Adjusters_-_Standard_or_Extended_Travel_-_05__Tacoma.html

    Extended:22.48"
    Compressed: 17.59"
    Difference: 4.89"

Adjustments: High speed and Low speed customization (in total 22 clicks of adjustments)

King: 25001-119A-EXT Extended Travel with Compression Adjustable Compressed: 16.75"
    Extended: 22.625"
    Difference: 5.875"

    Adjustments: 16 clicks of adjustments.

ICON: 58735 / 58735C Extended Travel Remote Reservoir CDCV Coilovers

    http://iconvehicledynamics.com/shop/678-2016-toyota-tacoma-coilovers-shocks

Not 100% sure, but I think the 2005-2015 and 2016 Tacoma SKUs are the same shock... they just advertise the difference in lift height achieved. (again, correct me if I'm wrong, there's no info on the site to confirm this)

    Adjustments: 10 clicks of adjustments.

    Compressed: 17.42"
    Extended: 22.574"
    Difference: 5.154"

Please let me know if any of this info is incorrect and I'll edit the post.

I didn't bother calling ICON because they were third on my list... Frankly the excellent customer service from King sold me on their product, so after I talked to King I didn't really have the need to keep researching.

Mossy was too lazy to find the truck I wanted and they lied to me about it's availability..telling me it didn't exist in a 300 miles radius. I left there and went to Kearny Mesa Toyota and they found my truck and transferred it in a week. Took it in for service to diagnose the gas mileage problem and when they set cruise at 65 mph instead of the 72 that I always do, it actually got 18-22 mpg. I was dumbfounded! Done it many times on my own after that and it's true. 5-9 mpg increase reducing my speed 7mph. Crazy shit!

How fast do you set your cruise control for on the freeway?

Hey man I'm just tryna help people by giving the info I know... Why you gotta hate? How about you call ICON since I called Fox, Headstrong, Wheelers, and King... That'll be about even due diligence, wouldn't it?

Has anyone had to add the degree shims or carrier bearing spacer when they lifted the rear? Also, does the 3" lift need extended brake lines and are the bumpstop heights the same as second gen?

Lots of talk about which coilovers, shocks, leafs. I'm trying to make sure i pick up all the small stuff before i jump in.

Not hating, just calling it like I see it. Seemed odd to make a remark taking a (minor) dig at a company, when you weren't really considering their product. And if you couldn't be bothered to inquire (which would have been great for your otherwise informative post, no sarcasm!), why make a negative comment? You had good content in your post, but the Icon part seemed out of place and unnecessary, so I got snarky. Appreciate the good info that was there, though.

I guess you're right... I got snarky myself because of the lack of content on ICON's site... It gave me a "mall crawler salesman" vibe without the details that anyone who's serious about this stuff would wanna know. No negative feelings towards ICON though, my dad bought tires off the owner (I think his name's Roy?) and the owner took an hour to give him a tour of their facility in Riverside... Very cool of him! If someone finds out the shock specs of the ICONs I'll gladly update my post.

Evening. What add a leafs are you using. Not progressive leaf packs. I used custom fulls from spring shops in the past and a rough country which I liked but was rough. Looking for a straight 1.5inch. Is wheelers giving the 1.5 on our third gens? Looking not to build my Franken packs this time. Want full leaf for a good ride with load use.
    Thanks.

Are your shocks running quiet? I had icons installed a week ago and after a day my front sounds like rusted out farm truck. Shop hasn't been able to figure it out yet. Seems to come and go but when the noise is there it's real loud and happens with something as simple as climbing in and out of the truck. I went with a very mellow lift of only about 1.25 inches in the front so I'm on stock ucas.

Most likely your heims. On the coilover. Or your urathane bushings on the UCA. Or the uniball. Triflow will be a good investment at this point.

The heims were what I was guessing is the likely spot. What's the best way to get triflow to work its way into the joint? Should I expect this noise to stick around? Never had anything like it on previous trucks with 5100's.

Not sure on that. Just got a set of ICON Shocks with Heims myself. I have heard you need to try to keep them free of dust and dirt. But the best way to introduce a lubricant on a vertical heim I am not sure.
