Bought the Toytech coil/aal/spacer kit for my 05 Double cab, wish I spent the extra money to have them pre assembled since I've never had this issue before with Springs, tried all 3 spring/strut compressors and they are either to weak or the teeth are to large to get out between the coils when compressed and assembled to the tallest lift settings on the Bilstein 5100s.. anyone have this issue? Tried a 10 ton press but can't access the top retaining nut.. any suggestions? Truck is on stands and undrivable until I get these shocks/coils assembled..

1997 t4r has super duty axles, 5.13s locked front and rear. 3 link front with 14" kings. Rear 63s.
Use the one that goes on the sides. Rental from part stores like autozone. Part#27036. Once you get the springs on and release the tension take the long bolt out of the top one and it should slide right through the other ear. Then rotate the little arms that hold the spring and your golden. Hope this helped

Well I went off the instructions in the Bilstein box and set the height at the tallest clip and discovered after everything that it won't fit with the included spacers as compared to the online instructions on toytech to set the c clip at the 2nd from top groove, so for now no spacers..finally was able to bolt the front end together after wrestling with the upper control arm, sway bar, steering linkage and one cv popping out on me, after all this i will concentrate on the rear this week.. I was wondering if anyone else has been down this path has had their truck sit "ass high"? Bilstein 5100 set at 4th clip/no spacer/aal rear.. thanks for your input (sorry this lift thing is new to me)

Thanks for the input! Finally was able to get it figured out, lucky to find someone who built a jig to hold the shock in a correct style press which helped but your way of doing it was next in line

Thanks! Got the front end put together, still have to do the rear, but definitely stiffer ride then before.. planning to run Methods Double Standards 17x8.5" 0mm offset (already powdercoated), paired with general grabbers at2 285/70r/17.. other then trimming I'm hoping to have no fitment issues :fingerscrossed:
