Non extended tow mirrors and a standard tailpipe work just fine for me.

I need to put some kind of an exhaust back on Smokey. Any recommendations for a small diameter muffler? The stock muffler no longer fits due to the traction bar.

I've got the Aero turbine xl, has good sound for a tacoma compared to others I've heard. Deeper than the TRD, and not as ricey, compared to other manufacturers. The non xl is much louder, too loud for my taste.

Actually I'm running open headers at the moment. My old crossover pipe doesn't work anymore due to the transfer case shifting back 8.5". So that means I need a full exhaust from the headers back.

If you're not going to clock the transfer case then you don't have any body panel massaging to do. It will bolt right in.

The BFH comes into play when you clock the case. You'll do a lot more massaging if you don't run the body lift.

You clock it to get more breakover clearance?

Just trying to gain as much ground clearance as possible. At 15 degrees the bottom of the tcase is level with the bottom of the frame.

I'm working on the truck this weekend no matter what. If I have to put up my canopy over the truck so be it.

What had to be done to the driveshafts? Also, is that crawlbox that much bigger so you could go solid on the rear shaft?

The crawl box added 8.5" to the length of the drivetrain. That meant the front shaft had to be lengthened and the rear had to be shortened. I stuck with the two piece as that still gains me a bit of ground clearance.

This showed up in the back of the truck today. Figured I'd bring it home and put it to use. 639f2dd19273a4d0fca6242ed7ae2943_b2e2103a2ef0d47db1e08712866e8afb6b2b4838.jpg
