Can't really tell. I gave up on the paint on my truck a long time ago. Adds character. :D:D:D:mudding:

Oh oops.. I thought the 9th. Sounds like fun. I have to look back into the link. Maybe bring the tundra out to play.. Assuming its open desert. I would love to take the tundra out. Only issue is the tundra is on the stock Michelin Ltx's. They are good, but sidewalls seem to be a bit soft.

Last time, there were a couple of guys got flat tires. You will probably trash the Michelins. I carry two spares out there...

I was going to mention the water crossing, was a bit deeper the last time I had to go though it from the other direction (without the tough run-up) so looks like you all had fun with it. But I thought you might have found the super steep downhill to the east to go down instead without the water (have not gone back to find it from the other side yet). Either way, bummed to miss this for a DV trip, that is a fun area to get lost in during the winter.

Looks like you guys had a great time! Great pics and videos. That water crossing looks nuts!!

I just went out there yesterday. Entered the Forest from the Southwestern access road right after Lucerne. It was my first time 4 wheeling and I was the only rig out there so I took it really slow and easy. I feel it's a great place for beginners. My gf and I stopped at a little pull out/campsite and had lunch and enjoyed a spectacular view. We made it all the way to Pinnacle Rock with no problem at all (not even a pinstripe :) ). I'm thinking about going out there again as an overnighter.

Middle Creek seems like a cool spot but just out of curiosity, can you just camp anywhere off the trail or only at designated areas? The place that we pulled over for lunch had a fire pit but I don't see anywhere on the map that labels it a "campsite."

I haven't personally be in that exact area but from my experiences, you can camp anywhere. You may need a permit for s stove though

hmm, good to keep in mind. Thanks

Yea, I read in some earlier post that a burn permit was required even for stoves when you're inside the Forest. Definitely will be getting one of those.

Interesting, I might have to do this. Problem I have is I don't have the spares currently.

I'm sure there is someone on this or the BS thread that would let you borrow a spare. Just put it out there.

I was just up there Sunday after it rained Saturday and it was a little muddy and soft but a lot better than all the dust in the summer
