Yep, and as far as I can tell I'm not losing huge amounts of oil, I just see some slight surface wetness around the timing cover

Well, that'd be great if that issue didn't require pulling the engine to fix

I don't believe that is the case.

I have a bad steering wheel vibe that recently got worse.

Driver's side needle bearing is shot.

Still have to work out of the truck. Can't risk road tripping it when i need it for work.

I'm not up to date on all 2nd gen repairs but why in the hell would you need to pull engine for timing cover gasket seems like there would be other options

Idk why you would. Worst case pull the radiator if you need the room once the water pump was pulled.

See this is why I miss the days where a engine compartment was bigger than most of today's cars back seat ...

Swapped motors in my 1980 K10, sat on the radiator leg on each side of block to finish installing carb and distributor.

Really? Well, still need to find time since my truck is my daily and work is unforgiving about being late or calling out

Usually it is the crankshaft seal or maybe cam shaft seal. Had both leak on my Acura. I read many guys will replace those seals when replacing timing belt. If you go through that trouble to fix oil leak, replace timing belt and water pump.

The DCLB rock slider flanges look adorable next to the Tundra rock slider flanges. I thought the DCLB were big, these Tundra flanges are huge!

Water pump I'll probably do, but iirc the 1-GR-FE uses a timing chain that doesn't get replaced until the 400k mark
