I have not waxed my truck but I use Eagle One Wax As U-Dry after I rinse the soap off. I use a Absorber drying cloth to shammy it off. You would think I wax my truck as it beads water just like yours does. Not planning on hand waxing mine either. She gets washed/dried once a week.

:goingcrazy:the thought of using the absorber on the paint or any of those eagle/turtle wax products.

Looks awesome where did you get the black TRD sport sticker?
I was planning on getting those wheels but the look of it I think you made up my mind about BFG as well

next time look at your paint when the sun hits it..See all those swirl marks all over. Thats what happens with poor towels and use. those absorbers have ZERO nap to pull any dirt away that may have landed on the paint after washing then you just grind the dirt all over the paint scratching it to hell.

The SR5 grill looks pretty good. Some of the after market black mesh grills look nice.

I traded in my 2014 Blue Ribbon Metallic Tacoma Sport 4X4, DCLB for my new 2016 Blazing Blue Pearl Tacoma Sport (upgrade package) 4X4 DCLB - love the truck. The Toyota Canada website calls the colour Blazing Blue Metallic but it is definitely the BB Pearl, I don’t know what that’s all about. (I traded up to the 2016 because the Dealer wanted my 2014 Tacoma and offered me a new one at a good price, and I like the looks of the new one better).

Some differences between the two trucks are not the best: cubbie holes to hide my phones and cables, and the Key start are gone, don't like the push button start but that is mostly because I didn't know where to keep my keys; That is until I bought a very small key ring sized 64GB thumb drive. I put the thumb drive with my music in the slot and my keys hang where I can get at them for the garage security gate. The middle console loses some better interior ergonomics and I actually liked the side opening top better. The new chrome front grill is ugly in my opinion. I prefer the limited grill but will paint mine.

The moon-roof is great, the seats are different, I don’t know yet whether they are better or not, the automatic transmission takes some getting used to, but I really like it now (10 days). I don't have a phone that works on the charging deck but my kids do. The infotainment center is better. The new easy down locking tailgate is fantastic. The backup camera shows up a little better on the bigger entertainment system of the new truck. I love the new monitoring/information system in the dash – very easy to read. The colour or color is better and the styling is also much nicer. The placement of the new towing plug/receptacle is so much better above the rear bumper. The dual climate control works very well; my girl and I really enjoy that. The front air-dam limits ground clearance and I think I will remove it – I think it will also rub on my Cooper tires.

My Toytec levelling kit from my 2014 (Eibach springs / Bilstein 5100 shocks /Icon aal's) will go into the 2016 along with my Cooper Discoverer ST Max LT275/70R 17 tires and black Pro Comp wheels. I can`t install my Bak F1 tonneau cover as it does not fit (that sucks). My Body Armor Trail Step Rails off of my 2014 were transferred to my new truck by the dealer.

I will also black out the badges again, and as mentioned, I will try to do something with that ugly chrome grille. My new truck came with the door sill protectors and both carpet & rubber floor mats. The salesperson sat with me for over 60 minutes before they would let me leave the lot so they could explain all of the nuts and bolts of the new truck – full dealer service. I didn’t want to be rude and run like I wanted to.
:lalala: They actually told me about most of the information that was submitted in the “Tips and Tricks on the 2016 Tacoma” thread so not all bad.

I will have pics when I put the suspension together and install the wheels and tires in a couple of weeks.

I would have purchased the access cab with the long bed, but I will be babysitting my nieces baby, so went with the dbl cab. Now a dbl cab with long bed would be
too long of a vehicle for me. Especially coming from a Honda Accord.

Some people saying the short bed looks stupid with the dbl cab. I completely disagree with you. I looks just fine to me and a lot of other people.

I had a 2000 regular cab Prerunner that looked great but no rear seating. I had a 2008 double cab that looked great. I just didn't need a full time rear seat. Have an occasional 9 year old grandkid that fits fine in the jump seats. I like a long bed and I sold my 2014 F150 because it was too long and a Taco double long bed would be just as long as the F150. Drive what YOU need. Who cares what anyone else thinks.

That"s right it's all about what you like. I like the dcsb but up here in Canada you cannot get the short bed with the automatic, standard only. like them all.

Anyone have a bbp Sr or sr5 with trd offroad wheels? Thinking about picking some up locally and can't picture them without the black fender flares. Or if someone with a bbp trd offroad and color matched fender flares?
