Let us know how it works out. Some of us would like to upgrade our headlights, but with the vibration issue, it's kind of a turn off.

Did you notice the vibrations with your factory halogens? Reason being, there doesn't seem to be a definite diagnosis as to what the problem is (is it the bulb or the entire housing itself).

 

Yeah that sucks. I still have my kit in the box waiting for the "new" grommets. Maybe I'll just dump the kit on eBay or something.

 

The "bounce" i am getting is seriously annoying.

 

We have received sufficient inventory of the more dense grommets.

Disclaimer: We are still convinced it is the stock projectors causing the bouncing, so we do not suspect 100% resolution with these grommets even still. However, if you are convinced otherwise, we do have these in hand for distribution.

I'm curious as to why it's the projectors causing the issue? I haven't seen/read about any other bulbs bouncing.

 

Just fyi, I sent an email with my original order number and support closed the request saying I should have got my order by now. I resent the request saying it was for the grommets not for the lighting kit I got months ago. Be aware of this since you're the ones who asked us to email support.

 

Would these come with any new orders or would we need to ask for them?

I kinda want to know too, since bulbs are usually the first thing I do when I get a new truck, which might be happening ASAP.

 

I know a lot of Tacomas owner has been experiencing issues with the Morimoto HID kit bouncing in their headlights, but has anyone experienced radio static?
I have the JBL sound system in my 2016. I would like to know any feedback on this please.

I'll update the group on my findings this Saturday when I install everything after my first oil change. So once night falls I'll give you my verdict including any radio static I experience.

 

I actually read that about another brand and thought "well at least I don't have that issue too". Then I realized that I never listen to the radio so I tested it. Sure enough, I do get static on certain stations that appears/disappears as I turn the lights on/off. It isn't too bad and it's only on the more distant stations... I also never listen to the radio so it doesn't matter for me

 

Is it just static, or do you get an engine whine like with a bad ground?

 

Just a steady static. Almost like when you're starting to get out of range for a station but can still hear it

 

From what I read online, some say its coming from the ballast, and some say its a bad ground. I'd call TRS support and see what they recommend.

 

Meh, I literally never listen to the radio. I just did that to test it. It also doesn't interfere with the XM radio btw, two completely different signals and all

 

I just ordered the system, but I listen to the radio lol. I found my way onto the F150 forums where guys were complaining about the issue. The consensus there was that they usually get that problem with cheaper HID kits, but kits from TRS are higher quality and its rare to get this issue with them.
