Personally I don't get it...Taking a perfectly good truck off road climbing over rocks "just because" I did it back in the day with a Used Tacoma and enjoyed it so I can't be too hard on those taking a spanking brand new truck with apparently few skills and laying it on it's side......
Back in the day in Nevada.

Looking back, I'm just glad I got away with most of the dumb things I did... and that none of them were documented online! :D

Yeah I can't blame him but I also don't understand it either. If I wanted to off road I would've bought a used 4x4 and a much cheaper one at that.

This Tacoma is my first new vehicle and I definitely want to take care of it. Then again, maybe someone from a better financial stand point can afford to do these things.

Well I can afford to do these things ...but Your suggestion is the one I used when I wanted to risk trashing my truck. Buy an old 4x4 and go crazy. I would not be trashing my truck over rocks But that is not what I bought it for and I realize younger people have an invulnerability they like to test,

People who hate on old(er) people for being old(er) are just as obnoxious as people who hate on young(er) people for being young(er).

Not really. Older people have been there and done it for the most part. We see these things and shake our heads realizing we did the same thing when we were young and stupid. People who grow out of the stupid part tend to do the right things make the right choices in the moment and end up with a comfortable early retirement and lots of options. I really don't care what 20 somethings think. They have not lived at all yet, but I do get a kick out of seeing wrecked Tacomas younger people usually do not take personal responsibility for.

I will tell you this much. I would not want to be in my 20's today. I have no regrets and growing old means more financial freedom in many cases. When you retire at 55 let me know how obnoxious you were to get there. Probably not too....

Back at ya....get a third gen so you can really play in this sandbox...You know......like a real owner.

When you grow up you too will see how stupid the roll over really was. Until then I wish you well. You're gonna need it.

Wow lots of armchair quarterbacks. Whether it was bad judgment, a slight false move, told the trail wasn't that bad by his buddy, stupidity, none of us know. But hey, on the innergoogles everyone knows everything.

It all started with " Hey guys, watch this!". He definitely picked the wrong line to take.

*sometimes* picking the right line is the difference between fuckn things up or getting through. Its not always a 2wd vs 4wd battle. This could have happened to anyone. Shit happens.

*& I say sometimes because I know someone will have something smart ass to retort with. Over n out.

Can you point out the transfer case and CV axles? My eyes seem to be failing me.
