Finally got my switches and harnesses for my pods. Might throw this in tonight. Curious to see what cheapo eBay pods will do...

I agree with this. My taco has 150K, stock suspension. Rear springs are worn out, and any real load has the springs sitting on the overloads. I don't do hard core wheeling, but it's taken me everywhere I've wanted it to (that I had any business going in the first place - this does not include giant deep mud holes that I had no business even trying)- It may take me more attempts, and i may be a little slower - but I've been fortunate to wheel with some fun guys and we look out for each other. I'll get an OME lift when I can afford it (which won't be until next year), but in the mean time - my Taco is doing just fine.

Yes learn your trucks capabilities first. Mine had 220k before my bank account started to scream at me lol. Now at 266k it need a new motor (in the process of swapping with a 70k motor). Within those mileage, I've spend quite a bit of money to get it to where I now want it. Now I'm just waiting on my dual swing out.

Yeah this is very true. My stock little 4x4 single cab could take me just about anywhere I wanted to go.

Great info here. Choose your line, don't let it choose you. I was actually surprised at how well other offroad sports (i.e. motocross/enduro) transferred over to 4x4. Choosing the best line becomes natural at some point.

*Edit: I have no clue why this is showing up as linked...

They are super nice. Great brightness! I'll have to get some night shots of them. Really are 100x better than stock. Longevity though, i'll let you know in a year or so. LOL

5100's, ome dakar leafs and ome coils, problem solver tie rods, eazycompany ditch light brackets and auxbeam osram 4" led pods, 2014 4runner wheels, 265/70/17 goodyear authority tires, soon to have 50" led bar on roof
the only issue that i see on mine is the instruction kind of lack but first time wiring so probably my fault and the light switch has some light bleeding from the bottom so it will give you a lighting effect on the ground or where ever you mount it once installed.

Relocated the rear axle. No more rubbing, and a lot more center.

How did you do that? Did you have to custom order a drive shaft

Its like a mini block lift. 3/8 inch plate with a center pin, then there are two drilled holes in that plate for either 1" or .5" and you put the leaf spring center pin in the length of your choice.

I went with the Total Chaos brackets to mount 10" shocks outboard of the frame. You will need 1.25" spacers and should prolly not go wider than 11" on tires. I'm running 265 75 R16s.
