I dropped the driveshaft off today. The stock driveshaft will have a slip yoke and spline tube stub added to rear section, new greasable u-joints, the front section shortened, and I sourced a front flange to replace the trans slip yoke. I was given a rough estimate of $380 out the door. Stock 4x4 driveshafts go for $300-450 on eBay but good luck finding a DCLB, and both sections would still have to be retubed because of the different 4x4/prerunner C.B. locations, so I will come out much cheaper by modifying my current shaft.

The 3 keys were already loose in the case before I even touched it. It would have sucked if I put it in not knowing that. They should have never come out when the case is taken apart in 2wd.

I might be able to help. Good luck getting one from Marlin though.

Too bad I have to cut these sticks off and work them around the auto shifter. It should be sweet if it works out the way I want though. The Front Range Off Road twin sticks are awesome. I ordered a low profile twin stick boot that hopefully will cover this hole.

Heck yeah, it would be light years from now. Thanks man,
How you liking the Morimoto set up on the HID's? 35w or 55w? Thinking of getting some soon, jut the HID kit though with stock projectors. Since we moved to Indian Land it's dark as crap in the boonies :)

I recently upgraded to 55w and love it. My FXRIII projectors are awesome.

That is what I am going with but with stock projectors! Thanks man for the input.

Question about the spindle gussest, looking at the swaybar version from TC. Do wen need to remove the whole spindle to weld them or can we get away with just taking the top nut off where the uca is?

It would be much easier welding with the spindles removed.

I know PSU Taco85 did his with a second set of spindles and then instealled them and kept the other spindles as spares... But itd be way easier to weld the gusset with it removed

Was about to post that I have a spare set of Tacoma spindles, not sure if they're the same.

Humm not sure if they're the same or not.I'll look into it. I can just bring mine off be truck if not.
I practically had the whole spindle off last weekend when I changed the passenger side diff oil seal. Might as well order new seals for the spindles too while I'm at it. The bearings seem fine on the passenger side. This would be a good time to swap new ones in.
It will probably be sometime in May.

    You going to rock therapy?
