Invoice is the price the dealer pays Toyota, not considering holdback or bonus amounts. Either invoice or MSRP can be used as a reference as long as you have the right numbers. Don't just believe the dealer's numbers for MSRP. And there can be a big difference between MSRP and sticker price.

Thank you! I got MSRP from Toyota website where you build your own truck and MSRP is the price quoted. Then I get best cash price. Then if I trade a vehicle it comes off negotiated price. It sounds like MSRP is public info? Where Invoice Cost is only supplied by dealer conversation? How do you verify accuracy? My truck should arrive in one week, hope there's no surprises!

Look at the link in post #704. That post includes both invoice and MSRP for base models and added options.

    image.jpg 2016 DCSB 4x2 V6

Tow package and LED bed lights were the only options. Silver with gray interior.

    MSRP $30,300
    Invoice $28,700
Added wheels and tires for $1295 minus $200 for the take offs, $330 for the running boards.
    Our doc fee is $300
    Total paid before tax $30,425
(Also getting back $170 in mail in rebates from the wheels and tires)

I am a Toyota salesman, so I got it from myself. I ordered it with no options for maximum customization without paying for wheels, tires and running boards that I don't like.

What state? 4 door? Auto transmission? I see the Costco deals but never want to give my email to get the quote. May have to look into this based on your truck. Congrats!

We just picked up an OR/AC automatic. Only options were tow and the all weather floor mats. After a week of emails and phone calls we picked it up yesterday for 35otd.

Only one i found around Nor Cal at the time dont know about now had to pay a premium to get it that day or else i woulda had to get a sport automatic maybe a grand or two cheaper idk...wasnt really feelin the 3month wait that some dealerships were talkin about.

    Trd off road 4x4 mt

    Every option available

premium tech... except no jbl i guess on the manual transmission

    Tow package

The floor matts and door liners or whatever came with it also lol

Didnt have to show no proof of income first car i ever financed so basically told em to make it work...

Came in silver which i was happy about so less maintenance on the paint...

I just put a deposit for a dealer in Birmingham,AL which they are going to trade another dealer to get:
TRD Off-road 4x4 Dual Cab Inferno 33730 MSRP
    Premium Tech (not JBL) 2330
    Tow pkg 650
    Tonneau cover (don't want) 650
Carpet Mats (not sure which) 329
Stainless steel running boards (don't want) 569
    Regional stuff 950
    Dealer Fees 515
    39723 total -> 41000ish with taxes
Been doing this all over the phone so I'm not 100% sure this is all correct, but they say that they're going to give it to me for ~38500 (with taxes I believe) which I still think is too high. Going off the master list thread it should be around ~36000. Do I even have a leg to stand on for negotiating since they are trading for it? Could use some advice, I've never walked away from buying a car feeling good about it. I'm going to buy this thing either way cause it's been a headache trying to find one, but if I could get a good deal I'd sure be happier.

Another dealer wanted to give me 9500 for my current '06 Taco, so I just sold it for 15000 on my own.

    Any input would be appreciated.

15,000 for a 06 taco. That is good. I do believe you can get a better deal for that truck. I would give them 36,800 take it or leave it. I have an 06 sport with 230,000 miles and I plan on selling it myself for 10,000 g
    Good luck

New here from the SF Bay Area. Just picked up a silver TRD off-road 4x4 DCSB premium & technology package with JBL, predator tubes, all-weather mats, mudguards, tiedowns, D-rings, wheel locks and towing package. MSRP was $39,502. Got it for $1,500 under MSRP in Sacramento. Local Bay Area dealers still think these are gold and will NOT go below MSRP. Santa Rosa and San Jose was $500 under.
