I just hate buckhorns. Tech sights are peeps kinda like from a m14/m1a and should help out a lot.

    Ah, gotcha.

I grew up on buckhorns, so I don't notice, lol.

Yea, for whatever reason my eyes are weird and like to switch focus a lot. I think a peep would drastically help with that.

I only shot around 50 rounds through it today but I'm happy with it. Other than trying to shoot subsonics through it and having cases jam from it, it went well.

    Dual dominance.
Mine have the same problem if I don't shoot for a while. If I'm shooting a lot my right eye stays dominant, but if I go a few months without shooting the left one starts trying to take over. :notsure:

I'll probably put some paint on the front ramp and try it out before I buy the peeps, considering they're about $80 for the set..

How do these shoot? I just bought a box. I've never shot a lead nose .22lr bullet before.

Well the firing pin strikes the rim which causes combustion which ignites the powder which forces the bullet down the barrel toward the target...
    Lol
I have never had a problem with lead nose. And I've never had a problem with Federal ammo.I've only used them for centerfire rounds though

They're pretty good. I have a Sig Mosquito that's real picky about Ammo and will only shoot these and CCI reliably.

    Yikes!
That's a lot of money for a set of irons for a $150 gun!

Got a Taylor and company ridge runner yesterday

    45-70 lever action
It's take down and threaded. I should be looking into a suppressor for it soon

Yea. I kinda figured them into the price though...$250 for a plain 10/22 with peeps, vs $250 for a marlin 60 with peeps and a 3.5lb trigger. Same price, better trigger, better accuracy...

Love that! Will you be able to run it sub sonic? How much are one of those?

They run around 1500 and make a nickel one as well. I traded a matching 1918 DWM Luger for it

I'm thinking about cerakoting this one in a dark gray

And as for subsonic, I reload so ya....if I ever manage to get a can for it, I'm gonna aim for a 700 grain flatnose at sub sonic speeds

a 500 grain subsonic 45-70 must have the trajectory of a mortar shell, lol.
