    That means they aren't seated (installed) correctly.

    mine are flush against the weather stripping. in my trip to california they howled a good bit. i cleaned the rubber multiple times and ensured that the windows stayed up for two days.

    Im starting to think i got a bad set then. i have a couple of people in my truck when we had to go to california recently and they keep asking what that whistling noise was.

    That sucks. That is also a good example of brush guards being damage multipliers. Looks like if you didn't have the guard, only your bumper would have taken the hit.

    Hitch and wiring, aux back-up light, rear strobe lights, radio and underseat sub.

    The front mount holes were slightly off, and the rear didn't leave enough room for the tailgate to lower. Bending the mount tabs,on the truck, fixed the front. Grinding a cap fixed the rear.
    Overall, I'm happy. I got rear ended, and came out with only a loss of paint:D

    I saw a set-up on another site (and can't find it again) where the guy cut a vent in the front of the cubby to let air in, and mounted a 12V bun fan that was wired to the compressor's power switch at the rear that pulled air out of the cubby. He put a scotchbrite pad over the front vent to keep from pulling in too much dust and debris.
