You might have them check the U-bolts for tightness, as a lot of people have had loose ones.

Ya as I said I'm going for my 5000 mile maintenance next friday. List of things for them to check.

    -transmission fluid level
    -u-joint on drive shaft
    -u-bolts on rear suspension
    -squeeky suspension
    -radio random restarts

What is the point of leaf springs? Is there a certain advantage to leafs over coils? Or just cheaper?

I've got a Firestik doorjam mount arriving today. I plan to experiment and hopefully tweak it so it can mount between the tailgate and side just above the taillight. We'll see... (I have a canopy, so I can’t use a bed rail mount.)

it's an oem part.. you could probably even go to the local toyota dealer and get it, although they'd probably still have to order it for you.

Rad Industries grilles are not an OEM part. They are custom fabricated by an aftermarket fab shop. :annoyed:

Less consumbably parts to fail, 4 bushings versus 8-10

Lets see that video????? because the rest of the truck driving world Isn't like that. There a design flaw, just like the 3 leaf systems were. To the point they finally after 6 years of failure, Toyota finally started recalling them 10 years latter (05- 11). That's why 4 leafers started showing up on 011's from the factory. I know about this extensively because I've been in a 5 year lawsuit with Toyota over it on 3 vehicle's. I'm part of the reason the recall got started.

If you couldn't tell by the last post, I'm quite salty about this part of our trucks.

duly noted! I never said it wasn't a design flaw, only that it was engineered specifically with comfort in mind, probably for the soccer mom's that want to haul their kayak! I'll see if I can find the video. Good morning, Doug! :boink::rofl:

Well me and the boss bought this little guy so he's kind of killed the truck money for a while... but now she's happy and I can get away with a whole lot more with my truck once I get the money again.
