I know, not those, I am aware of how bumpers connect to a first gen.

Ive had one for years. Was just showing where i put my solenoid since that was the discusion at hand.

The small bracket on the bottom is for the two lower bolts for mounting. There is the main stud that goes through the winch plate as well plus too more side bolts not really pictured there.

Its pretty standard mount...not sure why people are surprised by anything. Relentless is almost identical mounting..

Definately looks like a sturdy design using the frame mount for the stock bumper on the side and the tow hooks on bottom. The metal mounts just look thin compared to the bumper. Could just be the photo not doing justice

That is the way I had mine initially but the last time I had the bumper off the truck, I ended up mounting it inside the bumper behind the passenger side wing, similar to what you see in Monte's pic.

If I ever take the bumper off again (not looking forward to that), I am going to use extended cables, maybe upgrade to 2 ga. or even 1/0 and relocate the solenoid box again. Probably to somewhere under the hood.

 

It's all 3/16s. Other then the winch plate witch i added 1/4'' too..so..i guess it would be 7/16'' mounting point now..haha

I think it might just be the picture then. The mounting for the 2 bolts that go to the frame just looks really skinny. I know it's not the main mount

 

Can the ac compressor pulley bearing be replaced on a 3rz? Or do I need a whole new compressor?

 

I think it's just easier to replace the pulley. Mine froze up on me and $30 later I had it back up and running

Edit: I was thinking the idler pulley not the actual AC pulley

 

I can't seem to figure out how to get the pulley off right meow. I'm guessing it's pressed on?

EDIT: looks like there is a snap ring

 

It should be bolted on from the quick google search it seems bolted on. Unless I'm missing something

 

Hmmm maybe I'll try that before I rebuild my ac system. The pulley on the compressor itself right? How difficult was it? Can you do it without pulling the compressor?
