No way I'd pay to change the oil, do you need to use a lift for some other reason?

why are you going to rent a shop for that? just find an abandon corner of a walmart/sams/Costco... or hell hit me up and you can come over to my apartment complex and do it (just don't make a mess) unless you need a lift of some shit.

 

How many quarts do the 3rd gen take, I couldn't find it in the manual....I want to say 7 but didn't want to overfil

 

dude, you don't need any of those things... I've got a jack, jack stands, sockets, and an oil pan. all that's needed.

 

From what I have seen you gotta remove the front skid to get to the oil filter..

 

I'm going with the cobra cb since it's only $70 right now. What else do I need?
Antenna, mounts, coax? (recommendations??)

 

as you do on all of our trucks. at least your skids don't weigh 75lbs ;-) but it's up to you.

Yes and they charge an arm and leg. I've checked them out before. Not far from me. Federal and 36 fwy.
