You can head into Sedona easily or just explore the many FRs in the area

How far is Sedona? I'll probably stay in the area since I need to head home Sunday :(

If you take 213 to the 17 and south to 179 you could be in Sedona in a little over an hour. The 213 is a dirt road that takes you by Stoneman Lake.

You could also head into Flag and back down the 17 but i think that will take much longer.

Note: Sedona weekend traffic is a motherfucker. Purple hairs and tourists everywhere. You can hope for rain cause that will slow down the pink jeeps that dominate the sedona trails. Regardless, Sedona is a must see and do 4x4 trail.

I would think strongly about going back towards Flag, then drop down 89 thru Oak Creek Canyon into Sedona, then 179 back to 17 before heading south and west as you leave Sunday. Worth seeing it if you haven't.

Yes, this is a pretty drive but will be slow. You could also do schnebly hill down into Sedona. All those icons you have will soak up that rocky road for sure.
