Strive is a fantastic bike but canyon does not sell to the US. I thought about having one shipped to a friend in Europe then he could send the bike to me, but that would make it impossible to get the shape-shifter when it brakes. The shape shifter technology works well but everyone has had to replace them about every 12 mouths, not very reliable

That's my favorite too. Hoping I can find enough money to get the X01 build kit

I went through that same dilemma as well a few years ago with my '98 s-works. Figured out that that for what I was going to spend upgrading it I might as well buy a whole bike, but I didn't want to put up the coin for a brand new bike. I ended up finding a used 2010 s-works for 1/3 of the retail on eBay that was only 1.5 years old and had been ridden maybe 10 times. Then I converted my old bike to a commuter for like $70.

Out of those 3 the Enduro

I have a 2015 Enduro Elite 650b its a great all around bike. And for the price its hard to beat. I rode a YT Carpa at the Sedona MTB Festival. It was damn close to the Enduro. Same with the Bronson. I defentaly like the Bronson more over all but who wouldn't with carbon frame and EVE wheels.

I second the Capra. I actually own one myself and LOVE that bike. My previous trail bike was a custom Yeti sb6c, which I also loved, however the Capra is far superior. Plus, value for the dollar is unbeatable. At the same time, I love Pivot as well. I've got a carbon Phoenix which is an amazing DH bike and their mach 6 is outstanding as well. But again, the value of the capra is unreal. Top end spec at a far less cost than almost everything else out there.

Hate to admit it but I spent more on my bike wheels than my truck wheels...

Yeah, that's not at all hard to do, even if you have aftermarket wheels on your truck. At least mtb tires are still cheaper than truck tires.

What? Why? Do they sponsor you or something? Only reason I see is 'cause you get the employee discount. You do get the employee discount right?

Take a trip to bicycle heaven on the feeder road right past wurzbach, good guys in there and they can pretty much answer any question you have for San Antonio and surrounding riding. I was in there on Monday and bought a road bike but was contemplating buying the specialized rock hopper, huge fan of that one and it's like 800

I know where you are talking about, our realtor's office was right next door. I will definitely have to stop by on one of my days off. I think with having a better quality bike it will motivate to ride more.

I would only put money into that to use as a commuter, not as an actual mountain bike. You can buy used drivetrains or entry level shimano for under $150.

Nice! I like the SS! How light is that thing? Is that belt driven?

It is single speed using a Gate belt drive. It's not particularly light, the frame is pretty beefy. I'd guess like 26 lbs but I haven't actually weighed it.

How do you like the belt drive so far?
