Ha that's different from what we are talking about. My compressor is seized, not the idler.

Great link! I think I'm going to wake to do this when I do the water pump so I have some more room and better snap ring plyers

    Crappy pic of snap ring

Is it safe to clean the throttle bottle on a 2004 V6? I know some throttle-by-wire TBs can't be cleaned normally, and I recall reading that late year 1st gens are throttle by wire. '03 and '04 I believe? Wanted to check before I go and ruin something.

@TacoVio your shit isn't going to work. You ground the mount, not the antenna.

It's in between the mount and antenna spring I haven't redone my swr yet was at 1.8 on channel 1 and 40 without the cable. Why isn't it gonna work. I 've seen countless antennas being grounded with a cable or a wire along with the mount????

The ground wire has to be below the plastic isolator.

Thanks for pointing that out lol. At least I had the right idea just not the exact location lol. Its not grounded now because I broke a bolt off the fender lol. Nah but thanks for that!

My grille is attached with zip ties that I just replace anytime the grille comes off. I had to drill and square out holes for the older style headlight mounts.

got a little problem, I started taking apart the front end of the truck and when I started unbolting the top 3 nuts on the old coil/shock assembly the bottom rounded bolt thing started spinning right when i got near the end of the threads, seems to still take a ton of torque to get them off even on the end of the threads too. how can I get these things off? put a load on the coil somehow? Also the sway bar link had kinda the same deal theres some sort of plate on the inside that spins when I try unscrewing the nut.. Any help? thanks

Edit: tried putting a load on the coil with a jack and it didn't help at all i guess because pressure isn't being put evenly across the whole underside of the shock mount? id have to compress it a ton to have a good amount of pressure on the bottom of those things

Are you talking about the 3 top hat bolts that hold the coilover assembly in the coil bucket on the frame? I take the weight of the suspension and first remove the big lower, CO bolt that attaches the CO to the LCA. If you did that, I missed it in your description. The CO assembly cannot be removed with weight on the suspension on that side.

On the swaybar link, use an allen key to keep that bolt from rotating.

I removed that lower bolt but then how can I remove the top 3? can the shock lower enough to get a c clamp or something in there? here is what I'm looking at IMG_4395.jpg
Not sure I understand how you want me to approach this
maybe I should just cut the top threads?

Yeah, I lot of rust and corrosion on those. Did you put some PB Blaster on them? If those are just spinning, you may have to cut them off.
