    I completely understand, my frustrations are mostly real life related as well. Still been hitting some roadblocks with the build but the trucks far from important to make it a priority atm.

    Gear update:

    So awhile back when the REI dividends dropped along with their 20% off coupons I jumped on a Camp Chef Everest stove. Since then I collected some extra goodies for this seasons kitchen setup.

    1. Camp Chef Everest
    2. Carry Bag
    3. 6' Hose
    4. Worthington 6lb LP tank
    5. Powertank Mount

    I like the stove but wanted to see about modding the input connection to run a 90° fitting off the side. This would enable me to run a hose straight back vs using the supplied arm/regulator. The reason for this is to gain extra clearance for a larger cutting board to the side of the stove. After taking measurements and chatting up a few brass fitting dealers and custom stove fab shops nobody had what I needed. Proprietary connections kinda suck, but it makes sense that Camp Chef wants to keep folks from tampering with their stoves. I considered making my own fittings but after I did the math it was ruled it out in favor of upgrading to a custom built or Partner stove in the next few years.

    7 screws later the stove was in pieces.


    While the stove was apart I had a moment of genius... FOIL!


    One layer wasn't enough, so I added 10 more. Now I can rip a layer off each trip to keep things clean and reduce attracting all the bears by bacon grease.


    Added a few to the inside while I was at it.


    Reassembly.


    Ready for action!


    Just need to get the tank purged, install the powertank mount on the swingout, and it's game on.
