    So I've been looking at purchasing a 2016 Tacoma DCLB 4x4 TRD OR and ever since I saw the Quicksand I fell in love with the color. Have a few options to choose from but not sure...

    1) There is one in stock at a dealership with MSRP of $36,384 with running boards, carpet mat and sill protectors, and mudguards. They are willing to do $33,947 plus my College Grad Rebate. This would bring it to $33,197 + TTL. I told them $33,200 initially and the sales person was considering it and I am waiting to hear back.

    2) There is one arriving at another dealership that has Tech w/ JBL, towing, all weather and door sills, exhaust tip, and mudguards. MSRP is $39,373 and he is willing to do $36,755 with their $382 dealer free included. With Discount it would be $36,006 + TTL.

    Difference of $2,809 or $3,463 depending on the price the first dealer agrees to... Which should I go for? I would only really want the color matched bumper and the heated seats. I could live without the rest. Color matched bumper easy to replicate?

    Just want to see fellow Quicksand owners thoughts on this.

    Does the 1st truck have the towing package? That's a very useful option that will prolong the life of the vehicle if you do any strenuous driving (offroading, towing, etc.)

    I got the tech package w/o JBL and love it. I use the sunroof often and the heated seats. If you love loud music, the JBL will likely be worth it too. I personally don't think the base speakers are bad as long as they aren't blasting.

    The first truck does not have towing package which is what concerns me. I don't tow anything at this point but it would be nice to have the option. I can install a hitch with harness for around $250 if I would like to. It just won't have the ATF and oil coolers, not sure.

    I would much prefer the Tech Package without JBL and save the money but unfortunately that is not what he has coming.
    I'd much rather add some $$ instead of the running boards and premium w/o Tech but that's not an option. The way I calculated it, looks like the first truck is almost or would be below invoice (Still waiting to hear on a price)

    Decided to drive a while through the Oconee National Forest in Ga. Took longer than expected due to closed forest service road gates... It was about 20-25 miles very light dirt roads. image.jpg

    It is quiet and nice, but when I used Gaia offline w/ usgs maps and Google the roads were there and not there. I did get lucky because the trucks nav had roads to get back. There were some fresh laid gravel roads to work out the 4wd, but just wish I could be in a more mountainous state sometimes for more "adventurous" outings and camping.

    And thank you it hides dirt well...
