@tx novice, thanks for the talk when I stopped by the shop yesterday. Grant was a great help. Hope to find the resolution to the x-grip ram mount.

@hacklerjason, @tx novice is trying figure out the exact parts needed to get the exact X-Grip Ram Mount like the first image from @808TAC2012 (attached to the lower part of the handle of the A-pillar), and possibly order a kit from South Seas Cycles.

That would be much appreciated. Yes, A pillar lower screw. Pretty much exactly like the image from @808TAC2012 posted.

I'm at work now but I do have a ram mount of my own to test with... I'll pull the screw and size it up and get back to you

I ordered the Ram mount ball and double arm socket from Amazon..... $41 and some change.

I checked for the socket head screw at Home Depot ( M6 x 50mm ) they don't carry that size.

Checking Lowe's and City Mill later today.

That's for something solid which the ohshit bar is not... You'll deform the rubber on the outside... I would go with the screw mount but even then, if your phone is heavy that screw will snap at that size... I would advise the actual hard mount... Brb with photo

I wouldn't mount it there... With only a single m6 holding it on, at a mounting distance of at least an inch away from the metal surface, with an added 3 inches for the double shoulder ball link, and then the weight of the device itself at the end of that distance, that little m6 won't take that abuse very long... I really would advise dash mounting.. Or center console mount.. Its really up to you though where you want it

Hopefully those screws go through the plastic to the sheet metal... That cover is only held on with plastic clips

I might look into a different and more cost-efficient phone holder. Thanks TW Oahu team!
