so i scoped it out last saturday afternoon and it was full of shooters. today there were some meth heads walkin around pickin up casings but it wasnt too bad. last time i was there was 2014 on my dirt scooter. its worth the trip if you bring something else to do, like guns or dirt bikes.

I'm almost positive I saw you go by while we were at Kelso station. We weren't quite as clean though:

    Hey guys,

I have a big group (20+) going down to run the Mojave for our annual guy's trip and we've been hearing that Soda Lake is very, very muddy. By the looks of your picture, it seems this is still the case. Can you provide a trail report for us? We aren't running it until the 1st week of May, but any info would be helpful!

If it's anything like it is right now I'd steer clear. We were traveling West to East and the road was fine to Traveler's Monument. About a 1/2 mile from the Monument the road went to shit. I would have turned around but slowing to turn would have likely resulted in getting bogged so we powered through. I was puckered up all the way across, my siblings thought it was the greatest thing ever. I guess it's true what they say, ignorance is bliss.

FYI, Kelbaker Rd is currently closed. We had no idea. Took Powerline out after the mailbox and came across the roadworks, took a lot of pleading to get them to let us shoot down to Kelso that way.

Damn! Glad I asked. I figured we'd have to steer clear of the lake bed (which sucks, I love that stupid rock pile and was looking forward to adding another one), but didn't think Kelbaker Road would be closed. Thanks for the info. I'll give the outpost a call as we get closer and see what they advise

Thanks! It's an ARE Z-Series. I bought it on the 3rd Gen Marketplace from "SBPark". Super deal and a good dude as well.

ESP Lockable Rear Seat Storage, MobTown Lockable Bed Hatches, lots of cool Mobtown products (Rear Bumper, complete set of 1/4" steel skid plates, sliders), Old Man Suspension and a bunch of other practical off-road tools to bulletproof my truck...
Here in northern Virginia in the Shenandoah Valley (About 9 miles Southeast of Front Royal), I own and live on 22 acres, which is surrounded by another 175 acres of purely wooded mountainous (that's what they call it here - Their just really big hills) land, 2 big creeks that run through my property, which is a four-wheeler's dream. On the weekends, between cutting wood for the winter, putting up or repairing fences, my kid (He's 12 years old and learning to get the truck stuck) and I challenge the new 2016 Tacoma (OR model) to see what kind of trouble we can get her into (We also have an M923A2 for fun). The good news is when we get stuck or high centered, we just go to the garage and get the backhoe to pull her out...

I can't believe people don't use a strap with that many dollars in a camera gear... it makes me sad

Strap gets in the way. It's a burden.
