It was supposed to be built in highlands ranch bigger store too from what i herd. i think close to I70 or somthing. City and or agreements they had in place failed ended up building two stores one down south and one up north. I dont blame you now a days the traffic here is nuts. I avoid Denver like the plague.

even when completely full, my tailgate still opens. but yes, the dirt/dust behind and the rubbing really does a number on the paint.

I am. That area is best in July-October.

If you planned the tundra thing better I would have been able to drive it back for you next week. lol

Snow is all going to depend on how late the last snow is. It has been melting very fast, but there is a huge storm this week and another in two weeks.

LOL when full your tailgate wont stay shut...

Guess I could always wrap the tailgate... should've wrapped the whole thing before I ruined the paint. C'mon hail storm!

Man, the Tundra bumper selection sucks. The ARB is down right Fugly. Only offering the safari bar is lame.

Relentless Fab sells one for the 2000-2002, not sure the difference yet as to why his bumper doesn't work for 2006.

Siro 5000 performer if you can find one - 5' whip, magnet mount
Lots of people like the Wilson Flex whip. Some people don't like the whips because they fly around a lot and smack things.
Lots of people like FireStik IIs which are thick antennas in 2-5' lengths. Lots of people don't like them because they're heavy and don't flex nearly as much if they hit something (like a branch). I run a 4' on my front bed rail (2nd Gen).

2nd Gens have a problem with radiating surface because the bed is plastic, not metal. You have to be careful where and how you ground the antenna for good performance. Or you get an NGP (no ground plane) antenna and say fuck it. The best possible location for your antenna is going to be dead center of your roof. Whether you want to run it there or not, and what kind of antenna etc is all up to you and personal preference. Cable should be RG-58 A/U, and from my reading the length matters and ideally is 18'. You don't want to coil the remainder somewhere tight, you'd want an open, loose coil if you have any.

If you want to do some reading: http://www.firestik.com/Tech_Docs.htm Yes, it's a company page by FireStik, take everything with a grain of salt. But most of it isn't written to push their product. I just find it to be a really good, single location with a ton of information.

Note I am a scholar, not an engineer (that means I read a lot of shit and settle on what I think is right, not actually have the electrical/radio background to know and do the math).

The fellow Seanpistol has one from bruteforce I believe. Without checking I don't know his year but it's a first Gen.

There's a couple of spots in the vicinity of Lake Irwin that I would consider discreet. As well as some fantastic scenery (particularly going up to Green Lake). But end of May will probably be a little too soon for that altitude. There's a small campground at Lost Lake, which is not discreet, but keeping an eye on the FS page for it would tell you about snow conditions and if things are open to camp in the area. If you're willing to be a bit closer to Crested Butte than just on Kebler Pass Rd, there's more options I could mention.
