Does the 2016 trucks have a setting where the truck will lock the doors automatically say after an hour or so? For example it will lock itself if I forget when parked at the house.

thanks.. thought it being smart enough to not let me lock my keys in it, that it may be smart enough to lock itself.

2nd gens have a feature that if you unlock the doors but do not open them for 30 seconds - 1 minute they will relock themselves. Not sure if that is present on the 3rd Gen.

Yes it will.It will also lock itself with key fob INSIDE the truck. You can't lock the truck with the door control and the fob INSIDE,,BUT,leave the fob inside and the thing WILL lock you OUT.Had the locksmith at the house at midnight because IT locked itself with the fob inside

Yes,I tried it again.Sitting INSIDE with the fob in my hands ,after several minutes Christine locked itself.
Ps.Could someone try it and leave feedback?Dealer says it's impossible. But,it did it...several times.Like I said,Truck UNLOCKED,ignition off,sit INSIDE with fob and wait.It will lock itself.DO NOT TRY TO OPEN THE DOORS(Unlock with fob first)because the alarm will go off

but really play in your settings on radio, i think you can turn that auto lock function off.

the 16 will re lock if you unlock with fob and dont open a door within a specified time, which you can change in the settings somewhere.

But How the Hell do you lock the fob inside?

with out opening the door i assume? that's the way it should work. But I would think that the truck should know the fob is in the truck at that point.

Sat in vehicle with fob.Locked truck from inside remembered something, unlocked with fob, went back INSIDE TRUCK, re-locked ITSELF WITH MYSELF AND FOB INSIDE after a few minutes. Then as I tried to un-lock it from INSIDE AT the door control the lights and horn went off. So,is it not working right? What am I missing? .Christine doesn't like me,as it's my wife's truck, but I needed to use it.
