5100's all around and Eibach 620 coils up front with the bilsteins set at 0. It's not much of a lift honestly, rides like champ though

Thats how they make their money. They offer 20% above trade value but never clearly specify which value. They get you in and then tell you its fair trade value and hope you take it since you are already there.

As someone else said, read the fine print. They will also hit you for something like .20 cents for every mile over 12,000 or what ever the number they pick. It's a scam to get you in the door.

Its a dealership... they will not offer / sell / trade you anything unless they make money. Plain and simple. So any time you deal with the dealership even if its a family friend who is a salesmen... FUCK THEM OVER AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE, because thats what they are trying to do to you.

Just started getting these letters a few months ago, never a call though.

But you should see the salesmen swarm me when I pull up for service or to grab a part! Like moths to a lightbulb!

2012 is by far the best of the 2nd Gens... and I'm not going to argue.

    Keep it.

So many of you guys act like these dealers are trying to scam you out of your retirement pensions. Its simple capitalism folks. They are trying to make money, you are trying save money......its about negotiating. Understand that the salesman has a job to do, has kids at home to feed. Hes not trying to 'fuck you'...hes trying to maximize his sales commission. This isnt a matter of life or death. Its a financial transaction. Treat it as such.

Keep in mind the book value they are using is not KBB. Dealers use what is called Black book to value trades. Search black book and see what you come up with, I am willing to bet the black book value plus 20 percent will not be near KBB high value.

I get similar letters/calls every time I visit the dealership, and I have a lot of miles on a near-stock truck with a few dings.

You need to get the tailgate cap and bedside rails from @Mobtown Offroad and Vodoo Fabrications and get them powder coated in red.

I have them, but with using them I don't think they would stay red long

Did you powder coat your skid plate or just paint it?

Did you buy it aftermarket or did it come with the truck?

I really want the OEM skid plate. Looks sharp.
