Thank you, would most likely go with D. Load E is overkill for this truck IMO.

duratracs suck. weak side walls and impossible to balance. had them on my 1st gen taco and while the traction was great everything else sucked. at the tire shop every other week for rebalancing....sliced a side wall on a tree root...started to wear super fast and the vibes from being unbalanced got worse.
unless you're in ice and snow daily i wouldn't recommend.

Redline in second and then shift to first. Much more boom.

So I can has yours when you have new bumper?

    ouch...

I have run AT3 and Duratrac. Both are nice. The coopers will hold together better in the sharp stuff and the duratracs will do better in the soup. AT3s are pretty quiet.

I have increased my mpg 4 or 5 per gallon since my install. around 23 right now. not driving gently at all...

Ah, lol. It does get frustrating that there are 100's of post with different answers on the same question. Im sure its tough to keep up on keeping a forum this active clean.

Ive read/heard tons of bad things about Duratrac. I think theyre popular because of their looks and marketing.

I approve this message. 1.5-3 lbs of weights to balance my old Duratrac's. Tried them on stock wheels and 2 different aftermarket sets of wheels with the same result. And going uphill from a stop in the rain? Forget it.

You all habe convinced me to stay away from them haha. Most likely getting the Coopers. Way cheaper than the KO2.

searches can suck. i hate t4r.org for that reason. worthless search function with impossible to wade throug hBS results.
just my $0.02 about them. the balancing issues were bad enough that I pulled them off at about 1/2 tread. still had plenty of life in them but i couldn't take the vibes anymore. my hands/arms would literally go numb if i had to drive more than 30-40 miles on the highway because the steering wheel shook so badly. the only way i would ever own another set would be if i had some huge commute daily through snow and ice. and then they'd still be a dedicated winter tire.

traction was no problem with them - my truck would go anywhere in rain, snow, ice. just couldn't get over 45 without vibes. got to know the guys at the tire shop pretty well during my frequent visits

the at3's were on my short list when it was time to move on from the duratracs. i ended up going with the Big O Tire rebranded Coopers. the set I had on my Taco were awesome, got the same ones on Runner now. Not disappointed.

I painted the hood I bought today. I'm really happy with how it turned out. I think this picture kinda shows how messed up the RF is lol.

I want a good tire, but don't want to pay $$$$$. The 4Runner is strictly a toy and will only start when I go wheeling/camping/fishing. So maybe 8 to 10 times a year.
