Good point on the 9 hours labor. ;)

I think I will try to make my own. As for the welding - nope, never done it. I figured after I made it, I could get some one to weld it up there for me... I'm much more concerned about the fuel tank than the cats, but cats seem to be what get stolen in my area.

Maybe you can use my pics to make a design for yours. For a nominal fee. :D

I'll pay ya $20 (Ok, make it $30!) to find that cat thief and send them to my neighborhood! The neighbor lady two doors down has a motley crew of cats that hang out around her place, and for the few that seem to "disappear" on occasion there's always a new litter that takes their place. So we could use a good cat thief or two around here!!

    HERE, HERE!
I have a lady that lives down the street from me, and she has about 25 cats!! Over the winter, they made a nice warm home in my BOAT! I was going to give them a nice bowel of refreshing antifreez, when my Wife pointed out, that it was a "litle cruel". :( After "talking" to the lady and letting her know I was going to be selling some nice "cat fur" slippers, I havent had a problem. :D

Don't have that problem in my neighborhood. We are all dog lovers, and the few cats that we have keep the field mice away. :D

Tell me what you need. I can send pics of the mounting locations, where the bracing is, distance from tank, as well as any mesurements, etc. Just let me know what I can do to help.

Now you just need to be taught how to shoot it by a Marine and you'll be set ;). And maybe one of us can teach you how to match your cover and blouse :p

Thanks. I will have to see where this goes on the budgeted list. Of course, if some one gets another cat stolen, then I will have to get a guard going (my wife is going to end up making me do it :p).

    Nice pics above...lol

Try an Alarm system....for gas thieves.

    • Set it on light setting and it will go off when they try to open the gas tank....and when the wind blows or cat pisses or ..
    • Some alarms have extra pins you could put in to gas tank door!!!

Good Idea, but I have an alarm system (factory), but the thieves are going under the truck, puncturing the tank, and draining the fuel. Its not seting off the alrams.

You could flip the the truck over and not set off the stock alarm.

Damn, going under the truck would be a bitch to prevent.

I use to have an alarm that had a barrier around my convertable car, If you got to the secondary barrier it would chirp. Break the primary by sticking your arm in to it it would Sound off...........

Some good alarms are quite sensitive...... Would be tough to do either way.

I guess there is nothing to save us once we are picked. But I beat they pick something else before they screw with one that has a GOOD alarm.

Damn I need to get one...lol
