Thats about normal. Those posting 22-23mpg are outliers or are driving on flat roads with no stop/go at 55mph all day.

Reading through the manual it reads that the test fuel was 93. I thought it was odd considering most individuals use 87.

I'm guessing 55mph on flat roads would return about 26mpg for a TRDOR.

You people are driving me nuts. The MPG variations are literally all over the map. From around 15 to about double. No amount of differences in environment or driving habits can explain swings that huge. Can anyone offer any real explanation for this? WTF....

That explains the supercharger on your V6, and the leather seats in your non-luxury vehicle

Lots of people drive like dipshits, from time to time, I'm one of them. It's whether you want to get good gas mileage or not.

I drive mine like granny and average 19.1 since delivery. Fuelly numbers show I'm above average.

I see it as a fun challenge. Driving down highways where the fill ups are few and far between makes me want to drive like a granny. For example, I went down one where the next gas station was 150 miles. I know this is a truck, but at the same time you do not want to be on the side of the road because of 3mpg difference.

My old lady gets irritated with me and says "stop playing the stupid gas mileage game and drive!"

Luckily mine knows how play the game too. We played it when we went cross country. She has a Subaru crosstrek and its gets 33 with her and 36 with me. I play with the manual mode though and she has it in auto mode. The Cvt is an ok transmission only for mpg.

My first tank the computer showed 19.5, when I filled it I calculated 19.3. Better then my '03 and a lot better then my '14 ever got. If this stands I am a happy camper.

I was getting 14.5 driving like an average suburbian dad with 2 kids. not going to crazy. Last couple days getting about 18 driving with all the tricks (featherfoot, coasting on flats/hills, only feathering into speed when traffic behind me starts getting close). There is somethig different. those getting 20+, are they 4 bangers? Still first tank, so I expect it to get better in coming weeks, but seems aweful low. Tires are at 31 front, 30 back. It's also the OR model, so that's added weight.

I averaged 25mpg on route 1 near south hill, va. Best I've ever done. Kept my speed between 45-50 mph. Kept my rpms at ~1100 and stayed in sixth gear the whole time. It wasn't a downhill descent but instead constant rolling hills, both up and down. I have a v6,double cab,4x4 and never thought I could get mpg like this!

400 miles on my TRDOR 4x4 and I'm averaging around 20mpg. Stop and go driving with max 45mph. I'm satisfied. A lot better than my XJ

TRD OR 4x4 M/T. Best so far is slightly above 21 on my drive to work (all highway). Mix of flat/downhill/uphill. I have the benefit of keeping most of the route in 5th or 6th though.
