    Well....The day is starting off OK so far...Gonna be a tough one before it's over. We received notice late last week that the wife's job was shutting down for 6 weeks due to lack of work. She got word yesterday that they were keeping her on throughout the layoff. She's a D.O.D. certified inspector and her employer cannot ship product without her there to do her thing. So the sizable income loss is now a non-issue. And THAT is a good thing.

    I've been working on a remodeling project here at work that has a deadline of tomorrow....No exceptions. And we'll be done in about 2 hours. And THAT is a good thing.

    The funeral for my great nephew is @ 2PM. There will be a crowd of 20-somethings (and younger) there. Always rough watching young people dealing with mortality....some for the first time in their young lives. Tougher yet watching family go through such a tragic loss. This is NOT a good thing....

    A new park is opening today, just a couple miles from our house. It wanders along the banks of Floyds Fork Creek.....and is where I used to hunt years ago. The place is packed full of wildlife. The wife and I are going to pick up our dinner at a deli nearby and go sit in the park and watch the sun go down. Hoping this to be a GREAT thing.

    Y'all have a good'n!

    piddling with truck and trying this plasti dip stuff. it's fun just to play with, idk, i dipped rear bumper and thinking about doing the chrome grill surround and grill emblem. question here is how durable is it,and how hard is it to clean especially getting bugs off grill? not sure if all this worth doing or just buy a body color grll and bumper

    Morning all, glad to see the good outweighs the bad, Blue.

    It is temporary, at best. I would use it just to see how something looks a different color.

    Trying to put events of yesterday in the rear view mirror. Just glad it's over.

    Got the evening with the wife @ the new park all planned out for today.

    Going to participate in a "Raptor Day" in Indiana tomorrow. I'll be assisting with handling several species of hawks. Really looking forward to this! Hawks, Falcons, Owl's, and a Golden Eagle will be there. Cameras are not allowed unfortunately. (They spook some of the birds)

    Busy day @ work. But then again, they ALL are this time of the year.

    :thumbsup::wave:

    good morning everybody! a beautiful day here in va. i've got another 3 weeks before they let me out of this imobilizer for my left arm. i'm not allowed to drive with it on for some reason i don't understand. i asked what the hell the difference was what would someone with only 1 arm do? at least i've been able to tinker with truck some. this sure isn't helping with my archery though hopefully they'll have me all sorted out in time for deer season

    Whew! Busy week. Now for a slow leisurely paced weekend! Just the wife and I this evening! we've both really been looking forward to this!

    The closer tomorrow gets, the more excited I'm getting! I absolutely ADORE big birds. The idea of holding a hawk has me giggling like a little girl! Can't wait to tell my 5 parrots about it! It's been a long while since I've been this wound up over anything!
