I think 4.5", not sure because I can't find the paperwork on them, and on discount tire direct it shows them out of stock with no specs (at least on mobile site). They are Level 8 guardians 16x8.5, and from searching TW posts about them, I believe they are the 4.5". Not sure. Keep in mind I am running 1.25" wheels spacers. Wish I had the right BS so I dont have to run spacers, but I bought the rims with 33's and hardly any mods! Buy once cry once:facepalm:

That's the video that sold me on getting Maxxs! Ahahaa oh man, how many times did i run it over? Well, I didn't stop for the flat tire. I stopped for a bent tierod... that's when I heard the hissing. Also, the nail was still in the tire... and I'm 99% positive that it came from our campground (we used magnet sweepers to collect nails in the sand and ended up with a full grocery bag of them) Sooooo given that we were wheeling 30+ miles from the campground I'm going to say about 20,000 revolutions give or take.o_O

Anyone have a front and side shot of the comparison between 285/75/xx and 255/85/xx
Also difference in MPG they've seen between the fatties and skinnies?

I'm planning on a road trip with the wife around the US next fall so I don't want to kill my MPG but I still want it to look

Current lift: Dakars in the rear, 885s in the front and a Pelfreybilt up front so that should help with spacing for bigger tires...

    Thanks!!

    285 requires cab mount chop.

    255 does not.

I've got Pelfreybilt bumper and 255s.

I actually got the idea of switching to 255s because I saw you post in 2nd Gen HQ on Facebook, thanks for the input and pics-- it helps my crazy decision making!

My 255's on a 8.5" wheel are just as wide if not wider than my 265's on a 7.5"
