I got the Goodyear Wal-Mart's. I was going on a trip an no place around here would do any sort of warranty. They are awesome in the snow, ice, mud, and rock. They are quite loud though. I got them installed with a warranty for under 800. I will get cooper stt maxx or st pro next. Need something quieter.

Edit: I have about 10k on mine and they look like they haven't worn at all.

always a deal to be had out there....make a short list of what tires you'd want and creep. if you're not too picky you'll find something that will work, especially if you're only going to have it our a few times a year. down side is if you go with something other than stock size tires....not likely you'll find a set of 5 for a full size spare.

For a 3rd gen 235/85r16 is almost the same size as a 265/75r16. Both will fit in the spare tire area but there is noticibly more ground clearance with the 235.

I threw a rod and didn't have time to fix it so I just parted ways with it. Kinda sad because the guy that has it stopped into my work and asked me "who's green 4Runner is that". I was just like you have no idea buddy

To each their own. They are just tires and they have performed better then I expected. So I'm happy

just tires? Its a major investment of your cash, if its going to be paid it better look good. Not like a mohawk from the 90s.

It's a major investment but I go through a set a year. So even if I bought shitty tires, I could just a different set next year haha. It really isn't as big a deal as people make it.

I love my Firestone Destination A/T's. They're great in the snow and the rain.

I meant look wise. I would rather have "ugly" tires that do what I want them to do then "cool" tires that perform like shit. I live and commute in the part of CO that gets a ton of snow and ice. My KO2's have performed flawlessly on ice covered highways. I feel confident driving 35 miles in an ice storm through winding mountain passes at night. Plus I think they look really good.

Mine blew in the snow but they were pretty worn. All they would do is spin in 2WD. I have yet to put my 4Runner in 4WD with the KO2's

Last year I was at about 30k, but I barely drove from August to December because of my shitty transmission. I'll probably be close to 40k this year.
My BFG KO's sucked, they weren't even round. My BFG KM2's sucked too, great in mud and bad everywhere else. I love my MTR's, but I'm probably gonna try a set of Coopers after these wear down.

Same, fuck those tires. One exploded just sitting in my driveway due to a defect in the sidewall.
