    Hey guys,
So kind of off the wall question for yall: I was pondering a future project, one that I don't quite want to reveal yet as to prevent my embarrassment in case I don't actually go through with it. With giving away as little details as possible, I would have to say that this mod would involve me running a number of wires up into my gear shift handle. Now granted, if I had a manual, this would be no problem, just cover the wires with a boot. But I have an AT, which makes hiding the wires next to impossible.
My question to you guys; Is there anyone out there who has done a mod like this. I know there's some shift knobs out there with leds, or some with little tiny buttons on them, and my hope is that someone out there can provide me an answer on how to discretely, or cleanly, run these wires.

I'm running a manual so sorry I have no wiring suggestion. But just thinking out of the box here. How about taking apart an old bluetooth speaker or headset and using the charging port and battery to make your "project" wireless.

Well that would be a good idea if it were a lighting mod but I'm thinking of something like a switch

You did?!?! I've been looking forever, 800 is way to overkill tho, I think my absolute highest id spend on a shift knob is around $100 or so

Well, actually yall guessed it. That is exactly what I was going to do. Im thinking about using a ps3 controller flight stick simulator thingy. I want to wire up the buttons to control relays that will control other things. I.e. High beams, horn, turn signals, things like that. I just cant decide how to do it without ugly ass wires hanging out of it.

find a place that will drill out the stick shaft. I don't know how many wires youre trying to hide, but someone should be able to drill her out for ya.

None yet, starting over!! OME lift w/ Dakars & 885's Remote Start w/ window control
I've never had a ps3 flight stick, but isn't just about everything with the PS3 wireless?

If it is, and you want to get into it, I'm sure you could build a 'receiver' module to connect wirelessly to the flight stick, and just keep a cable around to charge the stick's battery as needed...

Otherwise drilling the shaft, or having a new one fabricated, shouldn't be too hard, depending on how many wires you need to run

i was just thinking yesterday, i'd love to have a turn signal switch i could operate with my right thumb (manual transmission). of course, it would also have to work with the normal stalk. switching lanes and using the stalk is annoying
