I know there has been quite a bit of discussion throughout here regarding brake controllers....but have been searching and not finding what I'm looking for.

What brake controller is being commonly used that fits in the cubby slot left of the steering wheel?

Thought guys were liking this one:
    http://www.amazon.com/dp/B007O5GXOG...TF8&colid=2OY12W938WHRQ&coliid=I222MYW9SS2T70

But reviews say it doesn't fit the 2016 tacoma? I have the factory tow package.

Would like something that I can put in the cubby area and look factory/clean.

Thanks guys...and sorry for bringing this up...again.

Yeah, I was here then. Moved to Snohomish County Washington in '04 to '06 and then came back, through MT actually.

There is a guy on eBay who basically sells a similar product for $40.

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/05-16-Tacoma-Recovery-Tow-Hook-/291648433354?fits=Model:Tacoma&hash=item43e799ecca:g:IXYAAOxyVaBS60wJ&vxp=mtr

Says they fit 2016's but idk. I see BPF redesigned their hook. It seems a little thicker and now incorporates the 3rd side bolt, but idk if that side bolt goes into anything much more than thin sheet metal.

BPfab is known to some as a ripoff artist so I won't be buying any of their products.

Yeah, that seems way more fair. I thought they were probably taking peeps for their hard earned cash. It all just comes down to economics, and don't get me started with that topic! :quickdraw:

I’ve got my 5k service scheduled for next week. They’re keeping the truck overnight for it to cool enough to check the transmission fluid (thankfully they know of this common issue). What else should I have them check/adjust/fix? I plan on mentioning to check diff fluid, lube u-joints, check u-bolt tightness and check the drive shaft zerks. Anything else?

    Thanks in advance!

The one on Ebay does fit the 16's. I have one on mine. It also has three holes in it but only the two existing bolts are used. I had to ream out the hole a bit to get the shackle pin in, but it works no problem. It is powder coated and nice quality for $40. I bought this one because I wasn't going to drop a Benjamin on the BP one.

I didn't build it hoping for your approval, I built it because it meets mine!
Both, lol. I was on my supermoto when someone turned left through an intersection in front of me. I had no chance. Broke both femurs, left hip, and both bones in my right forearm. Was in a coma for ten days and in the hospital for 26.
I'll never be able to ride again and have a few more surgeries until I'm somewhat better.
I'm walking now and I had no brain or spinal injuries, so I got that going for me, which is nice.

Well, I made some progress today. I added some carpet to the seat backs of the rear seat. They provide much better traction for my dog and any miscellaneous items I shove back there. At Lowe's, I got two cheap Blue Hawk floor mats with a rubber backing and about 15ft of Velcro. I ended up adding gorilla glue to the Velcro side attached to the mat simply because I didn't trust the original adhesive. It's not perfect but it serves it's purpose!

Oh, the mats weren't 24.99 like shown in the picture. They were 6.99

Well, I first used a silver sharpie and made an outline on the back of the mat. Then I took a box cutter and trimmed it around roughy. Finally I used old safety scissors to cut out any excess. It took about an hour and 15 minutes, but I took my time. However, it is by no means perfect!

I see that your tires finally took on a physical appearance! Removed that invisibility tire cloaking device, eh?! :D
