We always said we could race a season at MDR and not know if the road was open or closed or worry about head-ons, or 1 Vegas to Reno with the peace of mind the road is ours.

If they would have opened the 7100 rules up a long time ago we would have not built a new truck (in 2008). We loved racing 7100 with stock parts but when Total Chaos came along to support us we had to move classes.

Maybe I worded that bad... You can put any mini truck motor offered in any same make mini truck and race it in 7100. In other words you can have a '85 toyota pickup and swap in the newest toyota mini platform pickup (tacoma) 4cyl or V6 STOCK and race it.

If we had the budget and motivation we'd swap the newer 4.0L into ours.

To be 100% transparent, I can't talk about SNORE from first hand as a racer, I've only spectated. I did race MDR back in it's day though on and off from about '02-'08ish in both 7S and jeepspeed and there's definitely a level of professionalism and safety with BITD that I never experienced with MDR and at least haven't seen as a spectator with SNORE. Also, the few dealings I've had with Casey are at a more professional level then it is in the meetings I've had and been involved with with SNORE. Again, right or wrong? I don't think there's an answer, it's simply what fits your wants out of racing series wise the best. Different flavors, all good IMO... Funny thing is, as a spectator I appreciate the laxed rules and atmosphere of SNORE truth be told but as a racer I appreciate the enforcement of rules with BITD.

At the Mint, just before the quarry on lap two a racer somehow got spun around backwards and I was wide up running about 80 when he came at me. I have it on incar footage. It wasn't close... From the time I see him to the time I pass him is 5 seconds in the video. He pulls off the course 2 seconds from the point he comes around the corner into sight. Distance wise we had a lot of space, time wise, in the moment, I about crapped my pants and I swear we almost hit head on! Reviewing the footage, it really wasn't that close though. But point being, it scared the living crap out of me!!! That's the RARE exception and I think it was just heat of the battle the racer somehow got twisted around and got back on course probably going the direction he thought was correct... Honest mistake but damn!!! LOL

Trac messaged me about links for the taco. Still looking into eveything and getting info on everything. Saw those on ruff stuff and thought I'd post. Not about putting them on my truck cause I know they wouldn't fit.

I can't get my head around it either. Build a crazy truck and try to sell it before even seeing what it can do. It's like finally getting the hot chick you always dreamed about but once you get her you don't wanna bang.:der::notsure:

I do have a cheap pos truck that I beat the living crap out of instead of something I sunk a bunch of money into. Guess I like them cheap and easy to come by.
