High Water Mark Trail Run: Arkansas (May 19-21)

Have all my camping gear squared away. I have a long list of maintenance that I've been putting off for a while. I just did my valve cover gaskets, plugs, wires, coil packs and fuel filter. I need to replace my steering rack (been leaking for a while and inners are knocking), rehab LCAs, new LCA bushings and replace my passenger diff seal. I may wind up taking a day or two off of work next week.

 

My planning consists of me finding a tent, getting some food, and grabbing a folding table and grill. That's it...

 

How hard was this to replace ?

 

With a good ball joint press and the correct cups for the press it is not bad at all, i followed this guys post and it worked very well.

Finished ordering all the camping gear I need.

Now I just have to rush to catch up on quite a bit of maintenance, getting a full size spare, setting up the RTT, and making sure my CO2 tank is full.

 

That's what I missed , a full size spare ........

 

My tires are going to be looking pretty sad by the time this rolls around. This trip might be the one that ruins them for good

 

Yup, I'm just going to throw a retread on my spare wheel and call it good haha

@PcBuilder14 what RTT are you running .

 

CVT Mt. Shasta. It's a good size, but the quality isn't the best imo. I wish I could afford a ruggedized Tepui tent.

 

It's not what I wanted to hear , I'm in the group buy for a Mt. Shasta summit edition. .........could have gotten a Tepui ruggedized at 20 l% off with my REI membership

 

Other people love them. Maybe I just got a bad one. Not sure.

Exactly why I can't justify buying one

 

I only got it after my trip last year. Just haven't had time to actually camp yet this summer. Using it next weekend.

 

Nice. I won't be getting one for a long time. I've had my truck 4 years and only taken it camping once

 

Just seems like there's a lot of little things I need to fix on mine to make it better. The underside plastic coating is trashed, one of the zippers for my annex are nearly broken, my outside straps have failed, the cover ripped from the wind. And just the overall quality leaves a lot to be desired. And this is only after 2-3 uses.

That being said I have plans to fix all the issues I have with mine. Don't think I'll have time to get it done before this trip though.
