After 3 months of waiting for the bcm lpk to come back in stock I gave up and just picked up a psa magpul lpk. Prbly swap out the trigger eventually..or just build another lower.
This is my first ar build so I'm stoked that I can finally put a lower on my bcm upper that's just been collecting dust.

It does! A good, quick read is the Sandy Hook Test in 1879. A giant motor but hitting targets at 1 mile! Just a fun piece of history.

sledge hammer is my inspiration....I like heavy hitting guns. I'm a glutton for punishment when it comes to recoil. The only reason I don't have something bigger is because of cost (want a double rifle....bad)

Large bore handguns have been my game for a while (my favorite being .45 colt, but only because I haven't been able to afford a single action .454 Casull) I saw the ridge runner and had to have it (actually the local gun shop ordered it at a distributor show because they knew I would buy it and I hadn't even heard of it at that point...I don't have a problem, I swear I can stop buying guns when ever I want, right after I get a new truck gun

On another note, I'm a machinist and have access to CNC. I think I'm gonna do some custom milling on a glock slide. I want to see what y'all think of some designs I have done up in CAD. These are scaled for a glock 21, but I think I'm gonna do a glock 17 and adjust the sizing a little

    Which one do y'all like?

The 4th one isn't done yet, And I've got some fine tuning to do on all of them

I'd be afraid of getting a bunch of chatter on the 2nd and 3rd designs but I guess you can play with speed/feeds

I like design 4 because it looks like less snags on clothing

Also go Sub to the Machinist BS thread to show off projects, ask questions, etc

    What's the end goal?
    Weight savings?
    looks?
    Both?

#4 looks to be the strongest design, while still reducing the weight.

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
    Picked up some .38 special hollow points, 1x 20rnd Perfecta .308, and 1x 40rnd Tula 7.62x39

First ammo this year I think?

I'm not that familiar with glocks but Isn't there a spring that wraps the barrel that you would be able to see with these cuts? Or were they not going to go all the way through? I think they all look sweet but having that spring visible or possibly snag would ruin it for me. (I'm a 1911 guy, the spring would show with them)

Edit: just looked at a diagram. You should be good. I need to clean my pistol again. It doesn't wrap around the barrell on a 1911 either. Huh, what gun am I thinking of?
