Well I had a hell of a day at work today and I figured I'd share it with all of you. It also got me thinking about making this thread so that we could all share everyday. So please tell if you guys/gals had an bizarre, amazing, sad, wonderful, or just crazy story.

I'll start (please don't take offense to some of the words I'm just trying to tell the story)

A guy walked in and was saying he wanted to see the f@gg*t! I thought he was busting balls and wanting to talk to my boss (this is normal at my work). But the guy said no he wanted to talk to f@gg*t Justin a guy that works out back. He said he heard what Justin was saying about him and he wanted to settle it outside right now like a man (again I work at a junk yard so it would not be so weird to hear anything like this). Now around this time I noticed the smell of booze on his breath (once again pretty much normal for our customers). If you can't tell by now that my customers are not totally normal but this one takes the cake.
So anyways he continues with his rant and I am yessing him over and over to get him out of here. He then goes over to my coworker and continues for a minute and then in the middle of his rant says he will catch up with him later and he walks out. I was just about to say to my coworker "that god that guy left because he is a physo". Just as I'm about to say that the guy walks back in yielding a double barrel shotgun, cracked open and we could see both barrels were loaded. The guy says "do you know what this is???" and "just so you guys know I'm serious".
There is more to the story. 1st off the guy is well known to us as he had worked there twice before. He was once in prison for 5 years for *get this* shooting his wife in face because she made him a bologna sandwich (true story).
The police were called and the guy was arrested for disorderly conduct. Once they found out that he didn't point the gun at us they said there were not going to be any other charges. I didn't think about it at the time (I think I was in shock) but why isn't a convinced felon walking into a public place waving a gun and threatening to harm people given some sort of gun charges? BTW the police did confirm the shooting the wife story.
The police have asked for the security video so hopefully there will be more charges coming. Anyways I'm safe until Monday at least.

    Damn son.
It doesn't sound right that a felon has a firearm and they're not gonna do something about it.

    I'd probably get on that.

I have this thing about dealing with irrational drunks with firearms and how it relates to income. Basically, if you have to deal with irrational drunks with firearms, you can never be paid enough.

Nobody wants to go to work and get shot over used auto parts.

jesus man, that's one hell of a day at the office. He should be on some kind of parole violation for that at the very least.

also, how in the hell did he only get 5 years for (what I assume was) the murder of his wife, over a sandwich??

Every job has its downsides. Not every job requires Hostile Fire Pay. You can do something else somewhere else. Good Luck, Honestly.

First off, glad no one was physically harmed.

As a CC carrying 2A supporter I do not see how this is possible. Clear firearms violation of a convicted felon. Maybe they were initially charging with disorderly conduct to hold them and will file subsequent charges later after they have the video? There is zero chance this should slide. Zero. You have the right to press charges. At the very least the threat should constitute grounds for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, which carries a 2-20 year sentence. Stacking clauses invoked if alcohol is involved. I'm sure more for a convicted felon prohibited from possessing firearms. You are the 'victim' in this crime. Make sure the perpetrator pays dearly.

As someone mentioned earlier, seems nowadays every job seems to have its risks. I feel relatively safe at my work, but in the back of my mind I always know there potential for something to happen. It's been a good 19 year run with the exception of a few minor incidents :D Hopefully the next 10-15 go as well:fistbump:
