Not serious. Trails do close every year. If you think it blows, be careful who you buy from. For example there is a whole list of companies that financially support the Sierra Club and other trusts (they call themselves conservancies) who would like to ban 99.9% of wheeled traffic from any dirt path. I do not buy from my past favorite retailer, REI since they financially support the closing of trails. I was once a very active member in the Sierra Club but when I see folks like the guy in the picture that have limited options to get out into wild places, I now vote with my pocketbook.

Personally I hope that they get slapped with a number of good lawsuits regarding ADA - although the lawyers that wrote that were certainly in the same vein - self serving only wanting legislation that would allow their constituents to sue companies. Sadly that law has actually served as a barrier to employment as many employers will not 'discriminate' but much prefer to hire those without disabilities since they are far less at risk of a lawsuit. Lawyers - most are well meaning but many have destroyed most all the fun and personal responsibility of this nation.

Now to your regularly scheduled programming.

Thanks! I've got some video I'm editing which should be fun to watch. Hope to have it finished by weeks end.

I love it out here. I don't think I could go anywhere else. One thing is for sure though, when I'm done working, I'm going to retire in Nevada.

I'm very grateful for the numerous varieties of local geographical locations within my reach. A friend of mine once said that being born in San Diego is like winning the geographical birth lottery.

The beaches alone are worth it.

I could fill a thread 100-pages deep from stories of my youth.

They have bikini contests in summer. Google search Mission Beach Bikini

Huge downside of living here is how expensive it is to live here. It disturbs me greatly. It's the 5th most expensive housing market in the Unites States.(May 2015):(:(:(

I too was once a club member.

^Love this picture, worth 10,000 words, very inspiring. ;)

There is definitely something magical about SoCal and the surrounding area(Nevada/Arizona). My family has property near Palm Springs (Indio) and I've spent a fair bit of time down there when I was younger. It's been close to 10 years since I've been down there and I really want to make a trip down there with my truck and get offroad and explore some of the places you've visited and documented in this build thread. I'm hoping to make a trip like that happen next spring and it would be awesome to be shown around by some local TW members while I'm down there. Hopefully my work and my GF's work will approve the time off and the exchange rate will improve by then. It's too expensive to explore in the states right now with the weak Canadian Dollar so we are sticking to our own backyard this year which isn't entirely a bad. BC is massive with some equally as impressive scenery and trails many of which I have yet to explore myself. If you've never ventured this far north I'd definitely recommend putting it on your bucket list.

I also feel your pain on the housing market issue, Vancouver is listed as the 3rd most unaffordable housing market in the world. :(

Did you drill this exit hole or was it an existing port? I'm looking for an exit point for the hose (I have no problem drilling holes :)).

Factory hole. You have to move the "C" pillar plastic interior lower panel to find it. I took the panel out and clearanced it with tin snips, and reinstalled.
