Finally put the wheels on. 265/70/17's, no lift, no rubbing even with factory mud flaps. I debadged the door emblems after I took this picture.

image.jpg Fixed my "A". Thank you sir rrentrop.

I know there is a billion AT threads but for what it's worth checked my ATF myself a couple weeks ago, (jumper pinned stat) little more tha 3/4 qt. low, reset the AT learning. Since I have noticed an improvement in shifting smoothness and no R to D rev. Maybe my wishful imagination or it's finally learning the correct way to operate, but the more I drive it the smoother it gets.

One of the guys I work with that has a '15 TRD pro has been busting my balls that his truck has a much taller stance than mine. So I finally got a chance to park next to him. Not so much of a difference.

Got my front windows tinted to match the privacy glass in the back, and then installed all of the vinyl goodies that @rrentrop is selling!

Well, I got my Tacoma Wed. Today...I went to the service dept'. for an appointment!! I've got a funny, medium pitch, whine that is very pronounced as I lift of the gas at around 15-20 MPH. I can hear the frequency of the noise start to slow down as the truck itself is slowing down. Don't know about highway speed as I can't pick it up over the regular road noise. With nothing to back it up, I feel it is drive train related because I can hear the noise increase/decrease as I while slowing down or speeding up at the speeds mentioned. Just my luck!!

Read the howling noise thread (solved) does it sound like someone blowing into a half empty beer bottle?

I think it is rear diff whine. Apparently some were put together too tightly.

That looks like it's a TX Pro but it's definitely not a TRD Pro. Big difference between them.

Installed a Pop and Lock. While I was under the truck routing the wiring, noticed factory paint on the u-joint zerks - even after the dealer assured me they'd checked MT, T-case & diff levels and greased the u-joints.

    image.jpg

Hit all 5 (bone dry) zerks, added 1/2 qt to the MT and 1/4 qt to the rear diff. Everything else was fine. Torqued the u-bolts and fluid-filmed the leaf packs while I was down there.

Added a Proclip mount with a couple MagicMounts for phone and GPS.

    image.jpg

And an FJ TRD shift knob:

Letting the glue set on a JDM Toyota badge before installing it with a CustomCarGrills 1/4" perf grill.

Nothing fancy, yet. Weathertech mats front/back + their mud guards, some reflective striping and custom carpets on the storage bin lids underneath the jump seats.
Like the seam along the bottom of a motorcycle fuel tank, the body seam under the cab of my 16' just didn't look right.
Dark colors recede. Light colors stand out and the red just made the irregular welded edge stand out.
    What to do?
I thought about painting it and then remembered I'd seen black reflective tape on the www.streetglo.net site.
I ordered two things from them: a 37' roll of 1/6" wide red reflective to do the wheels and another 37' roll of 1" wide black reflective.
During the daytime, the edge all but disappears (see the photos below). At night, it will reflect an off-white color.
I'd invested in a pinstripe application tool just for rims. Boy, did that come in handy. I did all four wheels without turning them!
I'll have to wait until nighttime to take a flash photo to show how everything looks. For now...
