Eh? I don't see anything other than the normal winter closures. There's a ton of stuff on this side even with winter closure. More than the west side I believe. Dream/Emerald and the Loch are the two best hikes on this side imho. Both are relatively short. A bit closer down your direction is Wild Basin, and the hike to Ouzel Falls is relatively short and easy, but probably third on the list in terms of 'give me one hike that shows what RMNP is in five miles or less'. Sounds like you're bailing due to weather though. Keep in mind given the predictions for this storm, even if it's raining now it may be snowing by the time you get there.

Thanks for the info, I'll definitely be making it up there sometime soon. If it wasn't 1.5hr drive each way I'd give it a shot but I have plenty of stuff I should be doing instead. Yeah, just the seasonal closures is what I meant to say. I wanted to play around with my camera as well, and I dont want to break it trying to mess with it in the snow/rain. Just was hoping the weather would hold off until 3 like it is supposed to down here.

Anyone up for snow wheeling tomorrow? Bashing through snow wasting gas, improving rally driving skills?

No idea where... up for suggestions. It'll obviously depend on how much snow is everywhere. I think I messed up my alignment last storm when I went bashing through snow so I might as well do it again before fixing it! :bananadead:

Well I procrastinated on ordering up the inner cv axle seals, they were supposed to be delivered this morning but I guess the truck broke down in the storm. So I won't be replacing the cv axles, just be changing fluids in front & rear diff, transfer case, and probably changing out the plugs.

I think I'm still in as long as I25 is open, I'll re-evaluate the situation in the morning and make a decision.

I'd like to try to make it if the roads aren't too terrible. I have my rear leafs and shocks I'd like to knock out if there is time/ space/ tools available. As for food I can bring drinks and snacks? (I'll make sure to get plenty of Dr. Pepper ;))
