The refs were looking at whether Shaw batted the puck in with his hand . A coaches challange is still permissible for offside or goalie interference after that

 

I understand that I'm just saying at a certain point the stoppages get a little excessive.

 

Exactly why they should either dump the ability to challenge offsides or change the offside rule to simply having both skates over the line constituting offside and not one foot in the air

but you can't deny a coaches challenge because the league already looked at something else

 

They already have linesman at the lines and camera's at the lines now we need a review of what the camera saw. What's next an official in charge on the replays reviews? How about a larger screen so that the ref might actually be able to see what happened? Or another set of lines men off the ice stationed at the lines just to see that?
